Knowing that this is a fact, one can see X-men influence on Rurouni Kenshin in a few not-so-subtle ways. Try applying the following mathematical formula and youÆll see IÆm right:

 Logan has had more than one uniform, just as Saitou has. Is it any coincidence that WolvieÆs has similar triangle trim, just as SaitouÆs Shinsengumi uniform has?

  Saitou smokes cigarettes, in case you never noticed. Logan does as well. In fact, he seems to prefer cigars to cigarettes. Neither of them show adverse effects from their constant toxin intake.
 

Hm. It seems they even have opponents in common?   Hajime has been referred to as ôhard to killö because of surviving all those battles/wars. Hell, heÆs damn near invincible! Wolvie is ôhard to killö thanks to his mutant healing ability, Adamantium skeleton and just all around toughness.  Due to his heightened senses, Logan is excellent at tracking people. They say once he gets your scent he never forgets it and could track you to the ends of the Earth. When watching the Rurouni Kenshin OAVs I couldnÆt help but notice HajimeÆs equal heightened sense of smell, as he picked up Kenshin & TomoeÆs scent from quite a distance  (Hajime: ôI thought I smelled the scent of blood and white plumsàö). As far as tracking someone goes, Hajime is equally skilled.  The love of a fine blade may be another thing they could pass the hours discussing. Wolverine fights using his Adamantium claws, although as we see in this picture he has carried sword before. Also take note of his clothingà Did you know Wolverine speaks fluent Japanese? ItÆs true! Did you know his origins are so sketchy that there are ôWolverine Sightingsö dating as far back as the early 1800Æs? No, as weird as it sounds, itÆs true. So, whoÆs to say he and Hajime didnÆt meet up and become buddies?
